String breakage, Push Pull V All Pull

This is a question for all you guys who have played both. Did you notice any difference in string breakage on Push Pull and All Pull guitars.

I have a little more 3rd. string breakage with my P/P than with my Legrande.

Have not noticed any difference. 5 nights playing and I know its got to be changed or its going to break before the 6th night is thru.

Sometimes, there is a difference, but the difference is most likely caused by the radius, finish, and the material of the the bridge...and not by the different "pulling mechanism" designs.

I've been a weekend steel player for 20 years and I don't see much difference either. I would say the 3rd string lasts a bit longer on the P/P, but that's just a guess.
On both the P/P and the Legrande III they consistently break in the following order. (if left on to the bitter end!)
3rd, 5th, 4th, 10th ... I can't recall breaking any other strings.

oy! I must have a very heavy attack, the only ones I haven't broke are the 7th and 9th (coincidentally, the only strings with no changes on them).

Chris,
You don't know what you are missing: Drop the ninth string a half-tone on RKR.
Getting back to the topic, one theory I have is that if the raise is 'quick', ie highly geared, the string will break more readily than if the raise is lower geared. This could be complete b*****ks,of course!!
