Misty Morgan

Just received word that Misty Morgan of Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan passed away. They say it was cancer. The doctors gave her a short time to be with us, but it was shorter than they originally predicted. I've been email buds with them for a few years, and this is really a shock for me. A few weeks ago Jack said Misty was sick and needed to see a doctor, then he said he took her to the ER because she was in such pain. The doctors told Jack it was cancer and Misty didn't have long. It seems like some sort of curse has been put on entertainers this past year, and now at the start of 2021 Misty Morgan. All prayers would be appreciated. May she rest in peace.

My dad’s company Wayside Records had Jack and Misty on the lable during the Tennessee Birdwalk / Humphrey The Camel period. Dad had gone to Nashville for the sessions and I believe Lloyd Green was band leader.
My early memory is my sister and I coming home from school, grabbing Billboard from the kitchen table, and checking were Birdwalk was on the charts. When it hit #1 we danced around the table.

I got to speak with Misty a couple times, she had a sweet voice and was happy to talk to us kids. I was in touch in the email era and they were in good health then.
Sad to hear of Misty’s passing.

I was unfamiliar with them but read up and listened to a few songs, 'Tennessee Bird Walk' is interesting, like the guitar and steel sound.

Maybe not for 60’s folk or rock, but definitely country.
